Craftsman Tools has launched its microsite campaign Craftsman Labs (www.craftsmanlabs.com) with the following featured videos. Each clip shows a grueling test of the tools’ strength under extreme duress, and Craftsman is seeking fans of the videos to suggest what other tool stunts they would like to see put through similar trials. The campaign may also integrated into a Facebook platform where fans can submit their own video ideas for the Craftsman Labs team, and selected tests will be filmed and added to the site.

I’m really impressed enjoying the project 2040. Roman Rütten & Jörg Iversen develop the concept & some other works.Roman Rütten is 24 years old and working as a digital artist and creative in the areas of motion graphic design, interactive and advertising. He has some interest in social projects. One of his big interests are music, moving images and surfing.

Concept :

The topic of global warming is getting back in focous at the moment through the Copenhagen Climate Summit 2009 and movies like the Hollywood blockbuster “2012”. For the client Greenpeace we want to make use of this by placing their own trailer for global warming in cinemas. We made a melting 2040 completely out of ice and let it melt to symbolize a countdown. We didnt use any CG for this project which was quite fun and something different, for details please check the making of (vimeo.com/8120282). The trailer will be shown before the movie 2012 in diverse cinemas.
